Privacy Policy

Effective 18 May 2026
1.WHAT WE COLLECT

Nothing about you leaves the device. Jump does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. There is no telemetry, no behavioral analytics, no advertising identifier. We do not have an account system, and we do not ask for one.

2.WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Server records, credentials you enter, every benchmark you run, and the resulting trace data are stored in your device's local databases (SwiftData and Keychain). Credentials live exclusively in the iOS Keychain with the kSecAttrAccessibleAfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly attribute — they are not extractable by other apps or by backups.

3.NO CLOUD SYNC

Jump does not sync your data to any server, including iCloud. Server records and benchmark history live exclusively on this device. To move data between devices, use the CSV / JSON / PDF export feature.

4.MEASUREMENT TRAFFIC

When you run a benchmark, Jump issues HTTPS requests to the test endpoints you configured (the proxy, the speed-test endpoint, or public diagnostic resolvers from the demo set). These requests carry no identifier beyond a generic Jump/1.0 User-Agent. The remote endpoint sees a request from your IP just like any other HTTPS request would.

Geo lookup for the proxy host uses ipwho.is — a single GET request with no payload, no cookies, no identifiers.

5.THIRD PARTIES

Jump does not embed third-party SDKs. The app's only outbound network destinations are:

  • ▸ the endpoints you configured (your proxy / VPN host)
  • ▸ speed.cloudflare.com — the default Cloudflare speed-test endpoint, replaceable per server
  • ▸ ipwho.is — one-shot proxy geo lookup, no payload / no cookies / no identifiers

No analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising networks.

6.YOUR RIGHTS

Because nothing personal leaves the device, there is no remote dataset to access, port, or delete on our side. You can erase every server, run, profile, and Keychain credential at any time:

  • ▸ Console → Erase all data (removes Servers + Runs + Profiles + Keychain entries)
  • ▸ Uninstalling the app removes all remaining storage
  • ▸ Export your data to CSV / JSON / PDF before erase via Console → Export history

EU / UK residents (GDPR), California residents (CCPA), and equivalent jurisdictions retain all statutory rights of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise them, write to us via Support — we respond within the statutory window.

7.DATA RETENTION

Benchmark runs are kept for the window you choose in Console → Retention (Forever / 30 days / 90 days). Older runs are deleted automatically on the next app launch. Server records and credentials persist until you delete them. No data is retained after uninstall.

8.APPLE'S ROLE

Jump is distributed exclusively through Apple's App Store. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and App Store terms apply to your installation. Apple may collect data on its own behalf as described in the Apple Privacy Policy — that is outside the scope of this document.

9.CHILDREN

Jump is a developer / network-engineering tool. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone — children included. If you believe a child has provided us information, write to Support and we will action it immediately (in practice we have no remote storage where any such information could land).

10.CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Material changes will be reflected in this document with a new effective date. The active version is always the one published here AND the one bundled with the app you are using (Console → Privacy Policy in-app shows the exact text effective for your installed version).

11.JURISDICTION & CONTACT

This policy is interpreted under the laws of the jurisdiction where you reside, except where applicable consumer-protection legislation requires otherwise. Questions about this policy: open Support.
