The TLS handshake phase fails. Why?

HTTPS protocol selection means the proxy itself accepts TLS on its port (e.g. an HTTPS-tunneling proxy). Most residential proxies expose plain HTTP CONNECT — pick HTTP instead of HTTPS for those.

SOCKS5 with username and password — DNS + TCP pass, then PING / DOWN / UP fail.

iOS URLSession does not expose a SOCKS5 authentication API. Plain SOCKS5 (no auth) works; auth-required SOCKS5 cannot be tunnelled through URLSession on iOS. Switch to HTTP / HTTPS protocol on the same proxy — most providers expose both on the same port.

Throughput looks low / unrealistic.

The benchmark measures the round-trip through your proxy + Cloudflare's anycast network. Distant exit IPs add latency. Free / shared exit IPs often get HTTP 429 rate-limit responses. Try a paid / dedicated exit for cleaner numbers.

The Race tab is empty. Why?

Race compares 2-3 servers in parallel. Add at least two servers in Bridge first, then return to Race and tick the lanes you want to compare.

Country / city not showing for my server.

Geo lookup uses ipwho.is — a few private / corporate IP ranges return no record. The server still works; only the display label is missing. Tap Test Connection from Edit Server to retry the lookup.
